He was a popular American rock musician known as a keyboardist, bassist and composer. Greig was one of the founders band ZZ Top. In 60th years he worked in the group Neal Ford and the Fanatics. In 1969 was co-founder of band ZZ Top together with drummer Dan Mitchell and with singer and multi-instrumentalist Billy Gibbons. He married with Holland and they had together two daughters Ariana and Alexis. Greig passed away of heart failure at his home in Austin, on December 16, 2012.
